  • Overview

    The SQL Developer is responsible for development of reporting systems and ETL processes. They will also be required to design and code new interfaces which will map data and propagate the data into standard production tables, as well as enhance, troubleshot and fix issues that arise with existing interface code.  They will analyze and problem-solve issues with current and planned systems as they relate to the integration and management of patient data (for example, review for accuracy in record merge, unmerge processes).

    This is a full-time position, based in the Concerto Healthcare offices in Irvine.


    • Act as liaison between information technology and business units. Interpret business requirements and, with developers’ input, design new database functionality.
    • Develop strategies for data acquisitions, archive recovery, and implementation of a database.
    • Design and manage the enterprise data warehouse - data marts, facts and dimensions
    • Design, develop and unit test new database code to support requirements, using database triggers, stored procedures and views.
    • Migrate data by writing data extract, transforming, and loading routines for both loading new data as well as performing migration.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues.
    • Monitor production sizing information in order to possibly prevent future performance issues.
    • Assist application developers in writing complex queries to optimize performance.
    • Lead and mentor team members and customers in best practices and techniques to implement and manage a Data Warehouse system.



    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Computer Engineering, Computer Information systems, or work equivalent.


    • 7+ years of SQL development.
    • 3+ years of healthcare managed care experience
    • 3+ Experience in data integration within the Healthcare Provider and Managed care space

    Specialized Abilities:

    • Advanced SQL Server with demonstrated capability using PL/SQL.
    • Data exchange (ETL) expertise
    • Experience working with Healthcare Provider and Managed care data from a data profiling, analysis, and modeling perspective, with a solid understanding of the relevant Healthcare business processes.
