This role will be a main pillar in developing an applications quality, automated testing and data quality strategy and mentoring other QA team members through agile custom development and system implementation projects. This person will be a hands-on responsible for software and data quality within the custom web applications as well as off-the-shelf products. The candidate should have the passion to find bugs, try unlikely scenarios and can put the hat of a user to improve user experience of the products, on both Web and Mobile. S/he will perform data reconciliation to identify data anomalies, and prioritize data issues needing process re-engineering. The Sr. QA analyst will partner with development team and the BI team to deliver high quality solutions across Concerto Healthcare.


This is a full-time position, based in the Concerto Healthcare offices in Irvine. The Senior QA Analyst will report to the VP of Applications.


  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan for user stories
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • Execute on test strategies and test plans aimed to observe, test, diagnose, and report defects in the software.
  • Create and/or select test data for conducting testing activities.
  • Evaluate, troubleshoot and test the software repeatedly to detect all errors and bugs and recommend bug fixes.
  • Execute manual or automated test cases and document test results.
  • Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities, open defect counts and communicate these metrics with the team.
  • Work directly with product owner to ensure that deliverables meet functional and design specifications, requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with the Product owner and scrum team to review testing plans, testing progress, results, and next steps.
  • Adhere to Agile software development practices.
  • Contribute to development of quality assurance and testing standards to improve overall testing practices in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Stay connected with new and enhanced application features and functions to conduct effective end to end testing to ensure the stability and quality of releases.
  • Review technical documentation and maintain knowledge about software releases.


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Enterprise systems delivery experience
  • 3+ years of agile methodologies
  • 5+ years of application testing experience (black box and white box testing)
  • 2+ years of test automation experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Advanced level of proficiency with MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2+ years of SQL programming
  • Understanding of Health Plans/Clinic Operations/Medicare/Medicare/HEDIS/HCC
  • Working in Healthcare with providers and clinicians using EMRs (e.g. eCW) and Care Management Platforms (e.g. TruCare)
  • Performance and security testing
