 The Clinical Pharmacist is the expert in drug therapy for the local market. They are responsible for ensuring that the market maintains quality from a drug perspective and will assist the lead pharmacist with all initiatives in this regard. This may include working with pharmacies or providers outside of the clinic or with health plan partners. They will conduct medication therapy reviews on high risk patients and change drug therapy under protocol. They will also assist the market lead pharmacist with ad hoc projects and drug information requests as necessary.


  • Assist in coordination of pharmacy-related quality initiatives at the local level
  • May assist in creating clinical programs as necessary to support quality initiatives
  • Medication regimen review and medication reconciliation for high risk patients
  • Practice under protocol to make changes to drug therapy
  • Assist lead pharmacist in training/educating other practitioners on pharmacy updates and best practices
  • Occasional travel may be required


  • Must hold an active, unrestricted pharmacist license in the state of New Mexico.
  • At least 3 years of pharmacy experience OR ASHP-accredited PGY1 Residency
  • Experience in ambulatory care, managed care or other clinical setting
  • Strong written/oral communication, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary team
  • Motivated self-starter that takes initiative and follows through on tasks
  • Medication Therapy Management (MTM) experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s or PharmD degree with minimum of 3 years clinical experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Managed Care Pharmacy and Medicare/Medicaid policies a plus
