Our corporate headquarters are located in Irvine, CA and we have sustained operations in the state of Michigan and Washington. The Program Manager of Clinical Operations will be based out of Irvine, CA and report to the Chief Medical Officer.

 

Summary:

The Program Manager of Clinical Operations will serve in a critical capacity for the organization as he/she will be focused on operational excellence of all of Concerto’s core clinical functions. The Program Manager will be required to continuously assess the organization against known benchmarks and key competitors to ensure performance excellence from both clinical and operational standpoints.  This individual will also work hand in hand with the Chief Medical Officer to assess, develop, and implement new technologies or processes that enable greater patient clinical outcomes or engagement.  This role will require a very self-driven, critically thinking individual with the ability to serve as a subject matter expert / advisor for senior levels of the organization.  Due to the start-up nature of this organization, a certain level of entrepreneurial spirit will be required to be successful.  Structured guidance will not always be provided.  Many elements of the business change at a fast clip, so this individual must be comfortable adjusting and flexing along with the business.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clinical leaders to prioritize and execute critical initiatives and ensure resources are deployed sufficiently to ensure successful implementation
  • Take initiative and support all clinical areas (Utilization Management, Medical Group Practice) in whatever capacity is needed to get the job done
  • Monitor and develop key performance indicators for all clinical areas and escalate issues promptly
  • Reduce complex information into discrete action statements to drive business decision and alignment
  • Collaborate with all business functions and support other initiatives that impact clinical areas
  • Support Chief Medical Officer with ad hoc requests

 

Qualifications

  • BS in engineering, computer science, math, economics, business related discipline
  • 1-3 years of demonstrated analytics/operations experience in a healthcare, clinical, or population health or consulting setting
  • Project management skills a must
  • Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of known benchmarks for staffing, execution, patient satisfaction, etc. of medical groups, care management, utilization management
  • Ability to direct and execute complex data analysis to support any recommendations
  • Deep understanding of upstream and downstream impacts of any solution implemented and ability to plan and execute to mitigate risks
  • Self-driven/directed
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, front-line staff and subject matter experts
  • Strong ability to align objectives cross-functionally and drive change effectively
  • Expert level proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint and Word
  • Experience with Tableau preferred but not required
